Ankur Bhatt

Biography

Since January of 2026, Ankur Bhatt has been a PhD Student at the Human-AI Interaction chair at TU Dortmund. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Manav Rachna University, India, in 2020. Driven by a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, he moved to Germany in 2021 to pursue a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in AI. 

His research interests focus on Human–AI Interaction, Human–Robot Interaction, gaze and eyewear computing, Natural Language Processing, and multilingual language technologies. He is particularly interested in understanding how intelligent systems can interpret human behavior and intentions in real-world settings. For his PhD, he aims to develop proactive robotic systems capable of anticipating human intent in collaborative environments. His long term goal is to enable robots to understand human actions and behavioral cues more effectively, allowing them to respond in a timely, supportive, and intelligent manner during human-robot collaboration.
